Directions From Orange to Our Clark Office
Orange sits a short distance west of the Garden State Parkway, which makes the trip to our Clark office at 77 Central Ave, Suite 2 an easy one — typically around twenty to twenty-five minutes under normal traffic once you are moving south.
From Main Street, the simplest approach is east through the neighbouring Oranges to pick up the Parkway southbound. From the Central Avenue side the run is much the same. If you are up near Highland Avenue on the West Orange border, some patients prefer to drop down toward Route 78 and join the Parkway from there, which can be the better choice when the northern stretch is heavy.
The office has free parking directly on site. Patients who normally use the Orange train station and rarely drive tend to be surprised how contained the trip is — it is a genuine errand rather than an afternoon.

Working Against a Department or Hospital Deadline
A good share of our Essex County patients are not removing a tattoo because they stopped liking it. They are doing it because an employer requires it. Police and fire departments, corrections agencies, the military, and a number of hospital systems still enforce policies covering visible ink on the hands, neck, and forearms, and those policies come with dates attached.
If you are working toward an academy start, a background interview, a promotion board, or a hospital onboarding date, say so at the consultation — it changes how the plan is built. Complete removal needs a series of sessions weeks apart and cannot be compressed safely, but the sequence can be reordered so the portion that shows above a collar or below a sleeve is prioritised first, with the rest addressed afterward.
We will also be honest about the arithmetic. If the deadline genuinely cannot be met at a safe pace, you will hear that at the free consultation rather than after you have paid for a package.
- Visible-area work sequenced first when a policy deadline applies
- Progress documentation available if an employer asks for it
- Straight answers when a deadline is not realistically achievable
- Evening and Saturday slots for shift workers
Physician-Administered From Consultation Onward
Laser Eraser was founded by three board-certified physicians — Dr. Alvaro Alban, Dr. Len Hobson, and Dr. Dominic Ruocco — and the practice is physician-led and doctor-administered throughout. The person who examines your skin at the consultation is the one holding the handpiece at every session that follows.
That continuity is the point. Settings safe for one patient can leave lasting discoloration on another, particularly on skin with more melanin, where post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is a real and avoidable risk. Handling it properly means conservative energy levels, longer recovery windows between visits, and a willingness to accept slower fading rather than push for a result the skin is not ready to give.
Preparing Old Ink for a New Design
Not everyone who comes to us wants bare skin at the end. Plenty of Orange patients are working with an artist on a cover-up and simply need the existing tattoo lightened enough that new linework will read clearly instead of fighting the ink underneath. It is one of the most useful things a picosecond laser does.
Fading takes noticeably fewer sessions than complete removal, which makes it a shorter and less expensive commitment. If your artist has already drawn the replacement design, bring it along — how light the area needs to get depends heavily on what is going over it, and it is easier to plan that with the design in front of us.
- Partial fading to prepare skin for a cover-up
- Considerably fewer sessions than full removal
- Coordination with your tattoo artist on target lightness
- Bring the proposed design to the consultation if you have it
What You Pay and When You Know It
Complete removal is quoted as one flat package that covers every session the tattoo requires, rather than an invoice each time you walk in. Each tattoo is priced individually by size, which is why the exact number comes at your free consultation, in person, instead of being posted as a range that would be wrong for most people reading it.
Financing is available if paying over time suits you better, and there are no additional charges introduced once the plan is underway. Cover-up fading is quoted on its own terms and costs less than a full course.
