Good aftercare protects your result. Keep the treated area clean and dry, don't pick at any scabs or blisters, and stay out of the sun while it heals. Hydration helps your lymphatic system do its job of flushing the shattered ink.

• Avoid sun or tanning on the area for about four weeks before treatment; burned or tanned skin can't be treated safely.
• Shave the area beforehand so the laser reaches the ink directly.
